Disability Discrimination
It is unlawful for an employer to discriminate against a job applicant or employee with a disability or who is associated with someone with a disability. Disability discrimination occurs when an employer treats an employee or job applicant less favorably because of a disability or a perceived disability.
Individuals with a disability have a right to “reasonable accommodations” unless doing so would cause an undue hardship for the employer. Reasonable accommodation could mean modifying or obtaining equipment to assist with elements of your work, stand up desks, ramps, adjusted hours or leave time. We are here to help and can advocate for accommodations that assist in your particular situation.
“You were both very helpful. I appreciated the compassion that you showed me at a difficult time. You always made me feel like my concerns were important. Thank you again for all your help this year!”
